Rei•ki /rā-kē/ noun
a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being.

It can help your pet with their fears of going to the vet, going on a vacation (or being left at home while you are on vacation), or the introduction of a new family member.
Just like humans, animal reiki can be done in-person or distantly. In-person sessions tend to look a little different than the human sessions. Many times until the animal establishes a trust with the practitioner, reiki will be sent distantly with the practitioner sitting in the middle of the room, house, barn, or next to a coral where the animal can come and go as they please. Once a trust is established, some animals will prefer a more hands on approach. However, it is the animals choice on how he/she would like to receive reiki, if they wish to do so.
